James Robinson diary, 1829.

Manuscript diary of travels in Italy and Sicily, March 7-July 17, 1829, with a few pen and ink illustrations. Places described include Rome, Naples, Stromboli, Palermo, Mt. Etna, Syracuse, Pompeii, and Messina. Robinson notes the weather, scenery, travel conditions, architecture, and notable libraries and museums visited, with a list of some of the paintings he saw.
